the plot

Just a 20 minute drive outside of Lexington, Kentucky, sits what was once a huge, widespread horse farm which used to raise some of America’s greatest thoroughbred race horses, as well as a few trotting horses. Elmendorf Farms was legendary back in its hay day, but now all the land that once contributed to it’s greatness and prestige has been split and divided between whoever happened to be the highest bidder. Due to Lexington’s strict zoning laws, the Elmendorf property was turned into other smaller properties and with the way things were going, the great farm would soon be forgotten.
However, one person who bought up a large section of the land would not let it die. Instead of turning the land into another privately run horse farm, this large section of land was changed. Where there had been a house, a much larger school building was erected, where there had been practice tracks, arenas were built, and two more barns added to the scoping mass of land. Ever since 1961, this piece of Elmendorf Farms has come to be known as Elmendorf Equestrian Academy, a fond reminder of the great race horses who once walked on the grounds, as well as being one of the most upstanding private schools in the country. It teaches its students how to ride, train and care for horses, equestrian veterinary skills as well as being one of the top rated high schools in the nation and most certainly in the state of Kentucky.
Like every school, there is drama and given the standards and expectations of such a school, a lot of competition between the students as well as much drama as not only are there teachers and riding instructors about, but also trainers and veterinarians and vet techs adding to the fray. Not to mention Lexington and all it has to offer is only a short drive away and there what a student can do is almost limitless. While grades are kept up and students are kept from falling off their horses –most of the time-- the school is a hard one to manage, especially when filled with gossiping, rumor spreading, rule breaking teenagers.Elmendorf, the adoptable side –
As well as being an equestrian academy role play sight that you are all used to, Elmendorf Academy also has a side to it which is a sort of adoptable horse game, based around the horses used at Elmendorf. Upon joining a character is given the option of having one of the adoptable horses, and from there they can show, train, breed and sell horses in hopes of having the best show horses, the best brood mares and stallions, or maybe just the most horses you can possibly have. What you want to do is up to you, but it’s a fun, completely optional addition to the role play.
Our only advice is to keep on your toes, keeping thinking…
and always wonder about the moment after next[/font]
