[limegreen]She had taken his hand, so willingly, and without thinking about where her actions would lead her. Amara did not seem to notice until her hand was in his own, gripping gently yet firmly. Killian was tangible, and he enjoyed the comfort he felt in her touch. Her mouth didn't say much, but it didn't matter. Her eyes did all the talking. She had seen something, and when they touched he saw what she had. He had offered his hand to her like this so many times that it was almost habit. The church where they first had run to hide from the rain was where he had first offered his cold fingers to hold. Even then she had taken them, without thinking, almost as if he lured her. But this time it wasn't a lure, it was her heart trying to tell her who she truly was. His memories, even though they were not hers, were beginning to mingle with the forgotten ones that Amara had locked away unconsciously. It wasn't her fault this had happened. Killian liked to blame himself for not going out to watch over her that night. Her guardian angel had abandoned her for one night and she never returned to him. But this was something new. Experiences were going to be new. Amara had returned as the woman he would love for a second time in his life and never be without.
Her hand had risen and dropped, the thought that had trailed through her mind leaving in an instant. Killian didn't blame her for not touching him the way he had done to her. She might not have been ready for it. But he had not been ready for his own reaction. It was not a moment later that her sweet lips pressed against his own. Killian could taste the salt on her lips and the sweetness of her balm. It felt so right to have her like this again. But he couldn't help but wonder if she was forcing herself into this realization or not. But like habit his arm encircled her waist and his lips parted from hers for only a second before renewing the kiss, other hand reaching and brushing through her hair and resting on the back of her neck. He wanted to hold her like this for the rest of eternity. A satisfied moan slipped from him, wanting more of her...but he had to stop himself from doing things outside of jurisdiction. There would be a time and place for it. The place was not here, the time was not now. But for only this moment, Killian felt that this was right. Sharing their first kisses in the safe gardens of a vampire convent. He pulled his mouth away from hers slowly, not wanting it to end, and resting his forehead against hers. "There is no one like you," he whispered. "It's like we're living in a world of black and white, and you're the only one in color. You have always been the only color in my heart." He smiled, biting his lip a little. He had missed her so much.[/limegreen]

Eva smiled lightly. If anyone else had spoken those words she might have laughed at them and nabbed them as some sort of cheesy pick up line. It wasnt a pick up line though when it came from Killian's lips. She ducked her head trying to hide the blush that couldnt show on her face. It was a habit that she had never lost from what she could only guess were her human years. Esperanza could blush. She was fully human and for that Eva had been relieved. Well Amara had been relieved. She had never wanted a vampire life for her child. Not to mention that vampire children were hard to contain and control. Things almost always went wrong and the child was destroyed. Amara hadnt wanted that to happen to Esperanza. When the girl turned fifteen (the supposed coming of age for Latino girls) Amara had told her what she truly was.
Eva could never forget the look in her daughters eyes. Disbelief then complete fury. Somehow it had seemed familiar to it and Eva realized that it must have been how she had responded when she found out that Killian was a vampire. Eva closed her eyes. How could her mind do things like that? Piece things together without her knowing or understanding. It was frightening but Eva wanted it too much to forget. I wish I had something equally beautiful to say...I dont think I was ever good with words she said laughing quietly and pulling away from Killian and turned her back towards him to stare at the sky. The lights reflected hazily over the top of buildings making the sky look pinkish. She couldnt help but think of poison. Someone had poisoned the clouds. What had poisoned her mind to make her forget? What had happened?

[limegreen]Killian smiled at her sheepish reply. Her face was always so beautiful when she smiled. And it pained him that he didn't have any pictures of her from when they had last been together. There was no need for them. He had etched her image into his memory. That was obvious from his ability to recall such detailed memories to show her. He started walking down the path, leading her along with the arm he had around her body. He didn't want to answer for a while. He wanted to revel in the feeling of her in his arms once again. It was the only thing he could enjoy for the rest of the night. The time was approaching when he would have to give her up once again. If only for the night. But it would prove a painful night without her.
Killian admired the flowers, the same night blooming blossoms of the night that had been in Central Park. New York was a fond place for him. He had lived there for most of his life, and it didn't matter about his family anymore. Everyone he had ever loved was now dead. He was unable to attend their funerals, but went to their graves after they were buried and the ceremony was over, crying harder than any person there. He had seen Ehren's wife, their children, grandchildren...and even now there were little great grandchildren running about. But Mika had been hard for him to get over. Killian shook his head, not wanting to think about death right now. He would never have a grave plot to put his body in. There was a headstone in their family plot when he sent them an official letter, letting his parents he had passed away at age 30. He looked at his grave stone and felt strangely human. "Do you remember your sister at all?" He asked after many moments had passed. They had traveled to the other side of the gardens by this point and happened upon another bench. Killian didn't bother to stop, but slowed his steps.[/limegreen]

Eva moved along with him and she was glad for the silence that fell over them. It remained silent and Eva felt herself begin to relax. She didn’t think about his arm around her waist. It felt unnatural for now though she knew if things continued it would feel better. She hadn’t stuck in relationships for very long both for her sake and Esperanza’s. The girl had never liked any of her mother’s boyfriends though she didn’t mind keeping a few of her own. Eva noticed that all of them had black hair and blue eyes. Just like Killian. A connection maybe. The girl could never say what it was that had drawn her to those certain types of men but Eva…or Amara had always waved it off…everyone had their own type. Eva jerked and stopped suddenly at his mention of her having a sister. She looked up at him her eyes filled with curiosity and shock. A sister? I have a sister? she asked her mouth opening in question. She stared at him for a moment. If Killian truly was what she slightly remembered then he wouldn’t be lying about something like this. She had always imagined that she had a long lost sibling but those were younger fancies when she still wished she were human. She had finally settled into being a vampire when the girl had been born.
Eva stared at him still trying to grip the concept of actually having another family member. Would this sister be able to tell her memories that she had forgotten like Killian did when he kissed her? Excitement surged through Eva as she realized that things might finally be falling into place. She might actually know who she was. She closed her mouth realizing it was still open and giggled behind a hand. She didn’t like her laugh too much. It seemed too girly at times and she knew she wasn’t a girly type of person. I have a sister she stated to herself before sitting down at the bench that felt as if it had been conveniently placed there. Eva shook her head in partial disbelief. She looked back up at Killian and grinned. Well what is she like? she asked her words rushing out of her mouth and sounded mushed. She corrected herself automatically and looked down at her hands in her lap. There was so much to know about her life…it felt as if it would take more than a lifetime to understand it.
