Astera (does not have a last name or one that she goes by but sometimes when she checks into hotels she uses the last name Griffith)
, The character *
Canon or Non canon? Non canon. She is my creation from when I was ten.
Character full name: Astera
Age: Changed when she was twenty... twenty ones. Now she's about two hundred and thirty years old
Nickname(s): None. But she is called Bitch sometimes, or Ass-tera, or other names...
Alliance: She is a werewolf and she works with everyone or anyone. Vampire, werewolf, slayer, "them"... she's not picky when it comes to jobs.
Sexual preference: Bisexual, she just loves no one and everyone
Likes:
Astera has an addictive personality due to careful selection (AKA she smokes and drinks a lot and her ability to become addicted is higher than others) of the werewolf gene she was given and because of this, she is quick to anger. By nature she is a dominant female who is also competitive but she's careful to choose her battles. She comes off as being cold-hearted and uncaring to strangers or those she takes an instant disliking to and her form of joking is sarcasm. Astera can be pretty laid back but a few issues (like her height) can set her off into a rage.
Since she travels a lot and believes herself too self-centered, any friends she makes she keeps at an arm's length. But Astera is a friendly female when on her good side and is easy to get along with and when she does care about someone, she becomes very protective over them. When in a tough situation, she tries to joke or talk her way out of the problem first.
, Appearance *
Face claim: Since I don't have a scanner to post artwork, I'm using Alexiel from Angel Sanctuary as her face claim

Hair color: Black (raven colored)
Eye color: Deep sapphire blue
Height: 5'0"
General appearance: [At least a paragraph]
She is five foot even, her hair waist length and silky to the touch. There is perhaps Asian mixed in her blood but if so it would only show in her height and hair. She wears about anything depending on the situation at hand. When it comes to her job, she wears trench coats to help conceal her weapons and blouses with fashionable tails to complete the job as well. Her favorite footwear is boots that she manipulated to have knives hidden in the soles and if her job is to off a human, she wears gloves. Astera is prone to wearing jeans or black dress pants.
, History *
Parents: Didn't know them
Siblings: Doesn't have any
Children: Doesn't have any
History: [Atleast a paragraph]
Astera doesn't know much about her family history. All she does know was her family was bred with select others for premium genetics in a village which turned out to be run by a pack of werewolves who were wanting to create perfect werewolves. Her mother ran from her father and the village when she was seven months pregnant and when Astera was three weeks old, her mother was killed and the pack placed her in an orphanage. When she was nine, she was taken from the orphanage and raised in the abusive pack that turned her into one of them when she was of age and they made her one of their Hunters (Hunters are members of a pack that go through territories and rid it of threats/competition; kills others for money and rids of Vampire/Human threats). When the pack tried to force her into submission and to be an omega female she killed her superiors and went stray.
Now Astera lives on her own and does odd jobs for different packs such as ridding human or vampire threats within their territory or even other werewolves that are invading. She's always kept to herself, making friends (even amongst vampires at times) but then leaving them when she felt her welcome had worn thin.
Roleplay sample: [Atleast a paragraph, can be from another site.]
"You can't smoke in here," the man said.
Astera paused with her hand in her pocket ready to remove the cash for the room. Her eyes shot up and searched the wrinkled face of the man. He was stern, a little shaken, but there was a lack of fear coming from him. He did not have the slightest clue what she was. Her eyes fell from the man and searched the top of the counter as if there would be a "No Smoking" sign, which there was, and ah hah'ed under her breath.
"Well, that kills my night," she said and removed the unlit cigarette from her mouth and slid it behind her ear.
"Smoking in any place has been banned," the man said, his voice firm as if scolding a child.
Her lips twitched as if ready to scold the man in return on how to speak to a lady but the twitch turned into a smile.
"I apologize, I've been living under a rock," Astera said and sat the money on the counter. She pushed the money towards him with the heels of her hands, as if she was five years old. The man's mouth turned down at the corners. "I'll just... step outside and smoke. Can't be that bad out there, right?"
"Here's your key card," he said and tossed it to her. She heard him mumble under his breath and call her an uppity female dog. She thought of turning from the door and telling him she heard that when there was no possible way any human would have been able to hear him but was not in the mood. Maybe they would have an exchange of words when she returned or perhaps when she left.
The cold wind whipped through her hair and stung her exposed cheeks. Astera removed the cigarette from behind her ear and walked from the motel, bouncing a lighter in her hand as she pretended to not study the buildings and the surrounding area. It was familiar enough to her though the States had a reputation for constant need of change and expansion. Her booted feet carried her to buildings that were in need of repair and were void of business for the night. The lighter ceased its bouncing and she cupped her hand around the cigarette between her lips. A strong gust of wind hit her unexpectedly and she stumbled on the curve.
"Piss!" she snarled as her cigarette landed in a puddle. She bent to pick it up, cursing under her breath, and paused as a new cigarette was thrust beneath her nose. "Rat."
"Refrain from calling me that," the vampire complained and positioned himself beside her to block the wind as she lit the home rolled cigarette. "I hate that nickname."
"I could smell you a mile away, even in this weather," Astera said and waved for him to move if he pleased. His eyes narrowed as he watched her saunter up to the building and lean against it. "You Vampires smell horrible, you know that?"
"You barkies do not smell any better," Rat grumbled. He was glancing around him, his position and feet constantly changing as if he was undecided where to stand and where to go. "You could at least be polite and thank me for bringing you the cigarette and for meeting you in Werewolf territory." He shuddered. "I hate the States, it gives me the creeps."
Her shoulder lifted and dropped. "Thank you for bringing me stale tobacco and for meeting me in Werewolf territory. It must be harrowing, must be... frightening to be in territory that there could be barkies anywhere, watching you... wanting to kill you..."
"Oh, stop! I would like to get on with this meeting!" Rat yanked a paper from within his jacket and handed it to her. "Outcast or not I am not safe from your kind."
"Funny we've known each other for ten years," Astera said around her cigarette as she read over the details on the paper, her voice soft and thoughtful, "and yet you don't trust me enough. I can smell the silver on you."
"It is not for you," he said slowly. "It is for the others. If they smell silver, they will think twice of attacking me.
She scratched the back of her head. What would the rest of the Vampires think if they knew that there were members of their kind sneaking into Werewolf territory to hire Hunters such as herself to kill Vampire Hunters and humans that posed threats to their existence? She guessed they would be rather insulted.
"A hunter this time?"
"A good one," Rat said. "He has killed three of our kind within the past week. Five in the last month. Not anyone important, only... young ones... but you do understand it is troublesome."
"Uh huh, I do." Astera tilted her head, her eyes half-lidded as she smiled at Rat. He squirmed under her gaze. "I have to ask again. How much trouble would you be in if they knew you were hiring a barkie to do the dirty work?"
"Much trouble. But to me and to others it makes sense to send in a barkie. Hunters that are after us are not expecting a barkie to come for them. You have helped us in the past." Rat shot a look towards the dark sky and to the tops of the buildings. "I must go. I have stayed longer in the States than what has been required of me."
"Hope no other barkies are watching you," Astera said. "I smell them around."
"They will stay away," Rat said and then he was gone into the night.
